“I am not created or re-created by the noise and clatter of my life, by the rush and scurry, the relentless chase of the presumption that more gets more. No, I am created and re-created by moments of stillness and quiet.” ~Richard Wagamese, Embers
As the increasing pace of confusion, noise, and uncertainty in the world seizes our attention; stillness can feel elusive.
And yet, if we can pause –– turn away from the clatter and chaos –– and step into stillness, it can offer us spaciousness, grounding, and tranquility. In stillness we can hear ourselves think, find clarity and regain our equilibrium.
Join us for 75 quiet minutes of reflection, contemplation, and conversation. We will explore the nature of stillness — how we can nurture it and how it nurtures us. Through poetry, gentle prompts, and shared wisdom, we’ll slow down together, supported by the principles of a Circle of Trust® ensuring a calm, confidential, and protected space.
“In an age of speed… in an age of distraction… and in an age of constant movement, nothing is more urgent than sitting still.” ~Pico Iyer, The Art of Stillness.
