In conversation with Parker J. Palmer and Valerie Brown

Date: April 11, 2025
Time: 3pm-4:30pm ET
Venue: Online Zoom

Event Description

In a time marked by division, transition, and deep uncertainty, how can you stay grounded—and keep showing up with clarity, courage, and conviction? Join author and Center for Courage & Renewal founder Parker J. Palmer and Valerie Brown, author and Courage & Renewal Facilitator, for meaningful dialogue and reflection—to explore how we resource ourselves and each other to meet this moment with wisdom and care.

This 90-minute, online gathering, moderated by CCR Executive Director Kathryn McElveen, is an opportunity for you to reflect with Parker and Valerie on the inner and outer resources we need to respond to the world’s pressing needs with integrity. This gathering is an invitation for you to lean more faithfully into your values and our shared humanity as we work towards building beloved community.

This is a “registration by donation” event. We welcome you to give what you can—every contribution, large or small, supports the Center for Courage & Renewal in offering spaces and resources for reflection, connection, and renewal.

Make a donation of $50 or more and receive a copy of Healing the Heart of Democracy by Parker J. Palmer or Hope Leans Forward by Valerie Brown. Make a donation of $75 or more and receive both! (For those who live outside of the United States, you will receive a link after the event to access the E-Book version of either of these books.)
