Andie Cunningham loves being in community with others. Working with teachers digging deeper into their classroom practice or inviting and lifting up connections in classrooms brings her an inner congruency of riches. A teacher for over 30 years, Andie currently teaches second-and-fourth graders in a rural elementary school . While math is growing as a fave, reading and writing continue to be content areas infused with community building and making sense of our lives in community. She frequently incorporates Courage & Renewal practices into her classroom, inviting academic connections and communal knowing through the use of inspiring and deep third things. Andie began facilitating Courage & Renewal work, and Courage to Teach in particular, in 2004.
In her days and nights away from the classroom, Andie loves to mountain bike with her wife, drink really tasty Pacific Northwest IPA’s, or share a cuppa with her college-aged daughter, discussing phenomenal books, inspiring multimedia clips, and life experiences that offer us adversity and clarity in life.
