I’m a life-long resident of the Midwestern United States, and I have the awkward politeness to show for it. My professional journey has been equal parts absolute blast and trying challenge, but I’m grateful to have spent my career thus far trying to make the world a little better place one relationship at a time.
I’m an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, a Center for Courage and Renewal Facilitator, and am a former winner of the Certificate of Nacho Awesomeness Award from the St. Louis Nacho Club. I have found that my life is most joyful when I balance my time between creative endeavors (especially creative writing) and cultivating healthy communities.
I have a fantastic family in my spouse Jordan, my daughter Jo, and our shiht-poo Popcorn. We are very punny and there is a lot of spontaneous song in our household. We also have two porch geese (see: Midwesterness).
I love working with individuals and groups to cultivate courageous integrity and have done so as a coach / consultant, local church pastor, Courage and Renewal Facilitator, speaker, and friend.
I collect feathers and rocks. And sticks. And most any other pretty thing I might find lying on the ground.
"It is commingling with soul that causes us to glow bright with spirit, willing to assert our talents, whatever they might be. It is that brief, even momentary, but intentional union that supports us to live out our inner lives so that instead of burying them in the self-inversion of shame, fear of reprisal or attack, lethargy, complacency, or other limiting reasonings and excuses, we let our inner lives wave, flare, blaze on the outside for all to see."
