Gloria Gostnell, Ed.D, lives in a small town on the Oregon Coast. Her life as an educator and teacher of meditation have been shaped by her African American heritage and by the question: What else is possible? This was the question she asked as a beginning elementary school teacher and continued to ask during her 40 years as an educator in K-12 and Higher Education settings, most recently at Lewis & Clark College. In working to co-create learning communities of care, respect and challenge in both traditional and non-traditional settings, she has found the same question to be equally compelling in all other areas of her life. Her continuing work as a Facilitator with the Center for Courage & Renewal gives her the privilege and opportunity to explore the question with others at different stages in their personal and professional lives. What else is possible?
