At my core, I believe in the power of connection, relationships, and learning. My journey has always been guided by a deep sense of purpose: to create spaces where people can come together, learn from one another, and grow. I see myself as a convener, connector, and cheerleader, and it’s this belief that led to the creation of the Fieldstone Leadership Network, a community dedicated to nonprofit leaders. For me, this network isn’t just a program—it’s a reflection of my conviction that relationships, learning, and collaboration are the foundation for meaningful leadership and change.
Over the past 36 years, my work has been rooted in the nonprofit sector, where I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Executive Director of the Fieldstone Foundation and working as a consulting program officer for the Weingart Foundation. In 2020, I began consulting with the Clare Rose Foundation, and through it all, I have felt blessed to be able to do the work I believe I was meant to do.
I hold a deep belief that learning is a lifelong journey. My educational path reflects this, from my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of San Diego to my Master’s in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the USD School of Leadership and Education Sciences. My pursuit of knowledge has led me to further certifications and programs, including nonprofit leadership studies at Notre Dame and Stanford University, culminating in a national certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership (CNP) from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
Service has always been central to my life. I’ve had the honor of serving on various boards in the San Diego community, where I’ve had the opportunity to learn, contribute, and work alongside incredible people. Currently, I serve as a trustee for the Catholic Community Foundation of San Diego and the Erik & Ese Banck Clinical Research Center. My previous board roles have included organizations such as the USD Alumni Association, The Nonprofit Institute, Catalyst, and many others that I have been fortunate to support.
In the end, my work and my life have been about creating opportunities for others to lead, learn, and grow, and I feel privileged to be able to dedicate my time to what I truly believe in.
