Liana Thompson Knight, MFA, is a Circle of Trust® facilitator prepared by the Center for Courage & Renewal. Her recent work includes co-facilitating the online retreat “Dwelling in Darkness: The Gifts of Winter,” and facilitating a series of community clearness sessions for a Quaker Meeting. Liana has facilitated programs and conversations for New England Yearly Meeting’s Annual Sessions, for individual Quaker Meetings, for the NIH’s Division of International Services, and for the New England Transfer Association. Prior to delving into Courage & Renewal work, Liana spent several years working for the Multifaith Chaplaincy at Bates College, where she collaborated with students to develop programs to foster interfaith dialogue and raise awareness of social justice issues. Liana is also trained as a dramaturg, and has worked on professional theater productions around New England and taught theater literature to college students. Liana appreciates the power of storytelling and of discerning meaning in the stories we hear. Concurrent with her facilitation work, she supervises foreign exchange students as a local coordinator for a non-profit exchange organization. She lives in Maine with her husband, two daughters, a rescued Great Pyrenees dog, and, frequently, an exchange student.
