Paul Michalec received his PhD from the University of Colorado-Boulder in Multicultural Social Foundations of Education. He has 30 years of teaching experience in formal and informal settings. His past leadership roles include the areas of teacher education and curriculum & instruction at Skidmore College and University of Denver Morgridge College of Education. Paul is a nationally trained Courage to Teach facilitator. He leads retreats on renewal and resiliency for K-12 educators, physicians, higher education faculty, and religious leaders. His research interests include teacher education, effective instruction in higher education, spiritual dimensions of teaching, and teacher renewal/formation.
