I’m the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Center for Courage & Renewal. I have professional experiences in brand strategy, marketing, media, and nonprofit entrepreneurship. I also started my own nonprofit, Brother Box, to encourage Black boys to dream big and be their most authentic selves. I strive to inspire people to live authentically and show up for one another with hope, grace, and love. I’m testing out a quick update to see what happens.
Hope doesn’t preclude feeling sadness or frustration or anger or any other emotion that makes total sense. Hope isn’t an emotion, you know? Hope is not optimism. Hope is a discipline… we have to practice it every single day.
