Doing inner work in the supportive community of other black women through these mini retreats makes connecting with our self-love more possible.
This program is being independently organized and led by a Courage & Renewal Facilitator(s) prepared by the Center for Courage & Renewal. Although we live in incredibly challenging times—and as black women we continue to be some of the people experiencing the greatest challenges in our world—we are not powerless. We can help change the world by changing how we feel about ourselves.
Remembering our own self-worth is one of the best things black women can do to navigate all that is going on in the world. Doing inner work in the supportive community of other black women makes connecting with our self-love more possible. And it makes this hard and important work enjoyable. The added bonus is that, as we improve our own lived experiences, we help transform the world and improve the lived experiences of others.
In September 2020, we began offering Black Women’s Radical Self-Love (Mini) Retreats. These retreats were so transformative that we offered them again in 2021-2022, and we are offering them a third time in 2022-2023. I invite you to join Round Two of the Black Women’s Radical Self-Love (Mini) Retreat Series 22-23, where we will engage in powerful and enjoyable contemplative practices and processes—in a loving and supportive group of black women, each doing their own inner work. There are now three mini-retreats in this series.
The retreats will be online through Zoom
Retreats are offered through Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center
Kirkridge is committed to providing heartfelt and generous programming that is available to all. And we need your help to continue doing so.
The cost of providing this program is $40.00 per session. Please support this program if you are able. We will be grateful if you could contribute an additional amount to help cover the costs of others and as always, all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.
