Flow: Exploring Inner and Outer Currents in the Spirit of Fallingwater

A Circle of Trust retreat with visits to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob

Forest and stream and rock

and all the elements of structure are combined

so quietly that really you

listen

not to any noise whatsoever

although the music of the stream is there.

But you

listen

to Fallingwater

the way you

listen

to the quiet of the country…

-Frank Lloyd Wright talk to the Taliesin Fellowship, May 1, 1955

Like Fallingwater, where structure and nature exist in a seamless dialogue, we will listen for ways the Earth – and our place on it – inspires our inner truth to seek expression in the outer world—not through force or rigid design, but through the organic unfolding of what is present within us.

Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture and its integration of inner and outer worlds, we’ll explore our own inner and outer landscapes and open pathways for greater congruence, authenticity, and flow in our lives.

In this Circle of Trust® retreat, you’ll be invited to listen deeply to your own inner teacher within a trustworthy space.

In addition to the serenity and beauty of the Laurel Highlands in peak autumn colors, outings to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob will make this an unforgettable experience.

There are a limited number of spots available – especially for the super-early bird and early bird discounts –  so register soon!

How will we spend our time?

The respectful Courage & Renewal approach we’ll be using is seen by clicking here.

  • We have a framework with a variety of whole-group, small group, solitary activities.
  • We’ll explore images, poetry, and stories from a wide variety of traditions including the sciences – and perhaps from the lives of those present – on a path toward connection with our inner currents.
  • Art supplies are available for those who enjoy using them to explore their reflections.

You’re not there to take care of anyone else but yourself.

  • There’s no fixing, advising, or “saving” one another.
  • We neither go one-by-one around the circle, nor call out participants to speak.
    • Everything here is an invitation, not a demand.
    • We co-create a space with participants that is open & hospitable, reflective & non-invasive, evocative yet focused.
  • This creates a rare space in western culture for the static within us & around us to subside, so each of us may hear more of our own inherent gifts, hopes & wisdom
