Leading for Sustainable Change in our Communities, offers leaders the time and space to reflect and focus on how we can hold the tensions of our world and our leadership, and discover ways to re-engage in our work with a renewed sense of presence and compassion.
Together we will explore social justice-centered tools and resources to build personal resilience amid the challenges we navigate as leaders, and discuss pathways toward sustainable changes within our families, communities, and organizations.
The retreat is based on the Courage & Renewal approach, “intended to create communities of reflection and belonging that help people move toward personal and societal wholeness.”

Who should attend? Courage to Lead is open to those in leadership roles from diverse fields. Leadership can be reflected in whichever way we show up in the world through our professional, family, or community life.
Joining Courage & Renewal Facilitator Dawn Montgomery in the facilitation of this retreat will be Shauna Adams, LCSW. Shauna’s career as a clinical social worker, educator, university instructor, equity leadership coach and consultant, has been committed to addressing issues of power, privilege, racism & systemic oppression.

Participants who wish to stay overnight may reserve a room on-site at McMenamin’s Edgefield, or 5 minutes away at Best Western Cascade Inn & Suites. The hotel room is not included in your registration fee.

About: McMenamin’s Edgefield is a historic property, with no televisions or telephones in the guest rooms, and very limited elevator access. If you have accessibility needs including elevator access, a room close to exit for service animals, or an ADA compliant room, please mention this at the time of booking. All rooms are non-smoking.
