Over the course of pandemic months, a group of educators from across the globe began gathering online for brief pauses to reflect, share and connect with one another and more deeply with ourselves.

Over the course of pandemic months, a group of educators from across the globe began gathering online for brief pauses to reflect, share and connect with one another and more deeply with ourselves. It became clear, that even as the world’s population begins to emerge back to in person events, the conversation begun across continents is valuable: illuminative and sustaining for those involved.
This conversation will begin again and continue through the 2022-23 academic year.
You are invited to join for one or many or all.
“Everything that happens to you is your teacher… the secret is to learn to sit at the feet of your own life and be taught by it.” ~Polly Berends
This retreat series is grounded in the Circles of Trust® retreat approach as described in Parker Palmer’s book, A Hidden Wholeness. This series is intended for anyone who considers themselves and educator, with focus given to those who support higher education across the globe.
Through slowing down and working in solitude and in community this retreat series experience promotes reflection, clarity and insight.
Since 1997 the Center for Courage & Renewal, through its international network of facilitators, has created a unique retreat-based approach to sustaining and renewing personal identity, professional integrity, and vocational vitality for people in all walks of life, particularly – but not limited to – those in the helping professions.
“Afraid that our inner light will be extinguished or our inner darkness exposed, we hide our true identities from each other. In the process, we become separated from our own souls. We end up living divided lives, so far removed from the truth we hold within that we cannot know the integrity that comes from being what you are.”
~ Parker J. Palmer, A Hidden Wholeness
