Change is central to our human experience—to life itself! Dealing with life’s inevitable transitions can be tough, even as change is, as they say, the one thing that is constant. With so much going on, how do we stay open, instead of clenching in resistance? How do we keep our center in the midst of the swirl?

Every one of us moves through the doorways of transition in our lives.  Many of us carry from these times a difficulty that may remain unexpressed. And yet, walking across the threshold with courage, humor and grace is possible. Staying connected to what is true can open us to the vitality we are meant to embody.

Please join us as we pause to write and reflect with sincerity on the challenges, benefits and insights that arrive with change. We’ll explore the transitions which arrive at our door and how when probed with keen attention, they can serve our longings and callings, giving us the courage to act with integrity and authenticity. Based on the principles and practices of the Courage & Renewal^® approach, this retreat offers a chance to tune in to our inner rhythms, learning to listen to our inner teacher, instead of the myriad voices of often well-meaning others.

Thresholds and Doorways: Writing into Life’s Inevitable Transitions will be grounded in the Courage & Renewal® approach which you can learn more about in Parker J. Palmer’s book, A Hidden Wholeness. All are welcome.
