Turning to Wonder
“awe is the feeling of being in the presence of something vast that transcends your current understanding of the world.”
Dacher Keltner
Join us on this retreat to:
- explore how human beings experience awe in everyday life engaging the wisdom of solitude, community, research, poetry, meditation, creativity and nature;
- take time to be present to the ways in which wonder already inhabits our lives; and,
- learn how to cultivate more everyday wonder in our life/work/relationships and what makes this possible.
The retreat is an intentional time to get away from your everyday cares and activities to take time to listen deeply to yourself. Following the Courage & Renewal® Touchstones to guide our way of creating safe space for this to happen you will be invited into times of whole group reflection, individual solitude, sharing with one or several people as well as opportunities for meditation, being in nature, exploring poetry and wisdom writings, creative offerings for self expression. Everything in this retreat is by invitation and up to you to find what works best for you at the time.
