Barbara Reid, PhD is a U.K.-based facilitator of Circles of Trust, prepared by the Center for Courage & Renewal in the U.S. in 2013-14. She is an experienced teacher and facilitator working with organisations and community groups, as well as running a supervision practice offering one-to-one development support for individuals. From 1986 to 2006, Barbara worked as a university teacher and researcher in the social and urban policy fields, leading vocational degree programmes and managing social action research projects for public services and third sector organisations. With a long-standing commitment to contemplative and reflective practice in higher education, she is also a teacher of Mindfulness Based Approaches, and was a part-time tutor for some years at the Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice at Bangor University in Wales teaching on their Master’s programme. Following bereavement during Covid times, Barbara has trained as a grief educator with David Kessler, and co-hosts grief circles for people who are bereaved as part of Healing Circles Global. Barbara is Scottish, speaks French fluently, is a long time meditation practitioner, works with textiles and enjoys Nordic walking.
