Ginger McCoy

Ginger is a newly minted Courage & Renewal facilitator, weaving her seasoned creative and relational practices into her seasoned work. Grateful to be here, she brings with her both a contemplative approach to pottery, rooted in presence, and a lifelong practice of what clay has to teach us.  Nature is her favourite room to explore in this home we share. Coming from an Irish family of natural storytellers, she enjoys a good yarn and a doze of humour for good measure!  She is a community builder, creating spaces where people can slow down, connect, and create together in small settings, retreats, classrooms, congregations, art/clay studios, and boardrooms! She’s travelled a wee bit. Growing up in Newfoundland on the ocean’s edge and later in Central Canada, and through her experience of living in a rural Venezuelan community, she understands the resilience and strength that emerge when communities come together. 

Inspired by soulful experiences, she founded two all-inclusive clay studios where people come together side by side, creating, connecting, and belonging.  This calling has taken her into organizations that serve people experiencing homelessness, mental health, and physical challenges, deepening her understanding of dignity and belonging.  

Her journey with clay intersects the creative practice with her inner work. Often through our hands, we encounter touch ~ feel emotion ~ recall memory ~ free our creative spirit ~ embrace our own silence as the earth whispers her wise life force into our veins. 

Ginger values Parker J. Palmer’s writings, who has written volumes on the value of living an “Undivided Life”. It simply makes sense to live in harmony with one’s values. This ‘complex simplicity’ is at the heart of her journey. She is delighted to be welcomed into the CCR Community, bringing her many years of relational and reflective experience to her facilitation practice.  The world is pretty messed up and it’s time to reset and rebalance.  

Ginger likes to think of the wind moving through us, bringing peace and spaciousness, like clothes moving freely on the clothesline, dancing in step with Mother Earth; we can listen to our inner teacher who echoes the earth to find our way.
