John is the Founding Director of Living Leadership, on the Editorial Board of the Journal for the Study of Spirituality, a Facilitator at the Center for Courage & Renewal, and Co-Founder at the Centre for Spirituality.
His leadership and organisational consultancy is focused on connecting individuals, teams and whole systems with their full potential. John’s work spans multiple sectors and organisations as diverse as NATO, UNESCO, Shell, Roche, public sector bodies, central and local government, global and local charities. John pioneered the introduction into Europe of Barry Oshry’s systems thinking and is one of the world’s leading practitioners in this approach.
John specialises in facilitating breakthroughs on complex issues and finding common ground in stuck and conflicted situations. In doing this work he pays special attention to holding space for our full humanity to be present, creating conditions to sense the heart of the issue and strengthening our capacity to listen deeply to ourselves, others and the whole system. John has Masters Degrees in change agent skills and strategies from the University of Surrey and in health planning & financing from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in business studies from the University of Edinburgh. John lives in Shoreham-by Sea, UK.
