Julie believes our deepest work is often in the undoing: the slow release of what no longer serves us, so we can live “divided no more” and (re)claim our inherent wholeness. She sees loss and grief as essential to transformation. Julie trusts that each of us carries an inner teacher, a wellspring of knowing we can return to and renew, and that how we show up with and for one another is itself an act of justice.
As a coach and facilitator, she accompanies people through times of transition, helping them locate their own personal ecology and prepare for change with intention. Before coaching, Julie was an urban planner for New York City, where she led long-term community visioning and guided resiliency efforts in the neighborhoods hardest hit by Superstorm Sandy. She holds a BA in Urban Studies from Haverford College and a Master’s in Urban Planning from NYU’s Wagner School.
Julie is a certified facilitator of Lumos Transforms’ The Resilience Toolkit and is currently an apprentice in the Facilitator Preparation Program with the Center for Courage & Renewal. Both deepen her practice of holding space for healing and renewal. At its heart, her work is co-creating spaces trustworthy enough that people can bring the whole of who they are in service of building a more just and loving world.
