Siat Yeow Kok is currently an Apprentice in the Center for Courage & Renewal Facilitator Preparation Program. She began participating in Courage and Renewal retreats since 2019. Siat Yeow believes that to live with integrity and authenticity, there must be congruence between our inner and outer lives. She is deeply committed to nourishing our inner lives, from which our outer lives grow.
Siat Yeow has a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College, USA, and a Professional Doctorate from Durham University, UK. She is also a Certified Professional Co-active Coach, International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach, and Certified Practitioner in Team Coaching.
Siat Yeow’s diverse background includes more than 30 years of training and mentoring to support early childhood educators’ professional and personal growth. Mentoring and Coaching, Developing Cognitive Functions in Children, and Personal Mastery are some of her specialized teaching topics.
Siat Yeow is also a skilled curriculum developer and has developed curriculum for ‘Train the Trainer in Early Childhood Education’ for the Singapore Co-operation Programme under Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as modules at Certificate, Diploma and Degree levels and Continuing Professional Development courses for early childhood educators.
She has made considerable positive contributions to the early childhood community in Singapore through conference presentations and publications in ‘Cognitively Oriented Curriculum for Children in Community-based Childcare Centres’ and ‘A study on the effects of mentoring on student teachers, mentors, and centres’.
