Paul Johnson is a scientist, educator, and leadership practitioner. Raised on an Iowa farm, he has spent much of his career at Utah State University studying turfgrasses and urban landscapes while teaching and mentoring students, professionals, and emerging leaders. His leadership has included serving as department head and now as Associate Director of the Utah Agricultural Experiment Station. Through academic coaching and leadership development, he works with individuals seeking to lead from a place of greater integrity and purpose.

As a apprentice in the Center Courage & Renewal Facilitator Preparation program, Paul is learning to guide Circles of Trust® and leadership programs that invite deeper reflection and discernment. He is passionate about the Land-Grant university tradition and about helping create institutions where scientific excellence and humans are valued together.
