“Brokenness and Beauty in an Undivided Life” is a rare opportunity to explore your own most profound questions of identity and purpose, and to renew your capacity to live, work, and lead from a place that’s firmly grounded both in the realities of these challenging times and in your most authentic self.
This program is being independently organized and led by a Courage & Renewal Facilitator(s) prepared by the Center for Courage & Renewal. While we support our facilitators in various ways, CCR has no direct responsibility for the planning or facilitation of this event. The last few years have been so hard. We’re exhausted, stretched, frayed. Many of us have been re-evaluating our lives, our relationships, our careers. We yearn for… healing, clarity, beauty – even in the midst of brokenness.
Especially in the turbulent times in which we live it’s all the more crucial that we renew our spirits and reconnect what we do with who we are.
The poet John O’Donohue notes that “when we experience beauty, we feel called.” How might brokenness and beauty together help us to live more fully into who we’re called to be, and what we’re called to do?
“Brokenness and Beauty in an Undivided Life” is a rare opportunity to explore your own most profound questions of identity and purpose, and to renew your capacity to live, work, and lead from a place that’s firmly grounded both in the realities of these challenging times and in your most authentic self.

Three Pines Farm is a fifth-generation family farm, rich with history and beauty, nestled in the heart of the Cedar Valley of Iowa.
At Three Pines Farm, we always remain true to our mission of building community, supporting artisans & agricultural education, preserving craft, and learning with joy. We aim to connect people with more mindful, inspired, creative, and slower ways of living… To connect the community with the living arts and each other… those simple things in life, which maybe could end up being the most important things in life.
We are fortunate to have the best of the best educators fill our ranks in the programming we offer, and that is a key part of our mission that we will always uphold.
We are committed to outreach within our community as well, with our own volunteer Goats Give program, providing senior care & rehabilitative centers free, on-site animal therapy visits with our baby goats.
Since we recognize that these are tough economic times, we’re offering a three-tier, choose-your-own registration system: $135 “supported registration,” $165 “regular registration,” or $195 “We’re All in this Together” registration (which will help make it possible for someone else to participate). And if none of these works for you, we don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone, so please let us know what can work for you by emailing Chris (cjohnso542@gmail.com).
