- How do we find our way in a world that feels fractured socially, politically, and environmentally?
- How can we stay true to our values and work with our gifts, so we may contribute to a more loving, just, and sustainable world?
- What does this moment ask of us?
In this six-week retreat series we’ll create a space that nurtures natural ways of being with ourselves and one another that move us towards wholeness and integrity. Together we’ll explore what animates our deepest hope for ourselves, our communities, and our world, and how we can give voice to that hope.
We’ll explore where we find ourselves now, what we have to offer, and how we can move forward in ways that answer our deep longings and serve the world. Clear, time-tested guidelines and structured conversations will support open, non-judgemental interactions. We’ll practice deep listening and offer honest, open questions to support each other as we find new perspectives, uncover personal wisdom and build courage. Each person participates as deeply as they choose. Clearness Committees will be offered in the fifth session.
Charting a Path in a Broken World is not prescriptive, nor will it offer a specific path forward. Instead, it will be an opportunity to get clear on our values, purpose, and strengths, and what these have to offer to the present moment. Looking inward even as we face the outward challenges of the world is not a selfish act: it’s a means to uncovering our connectedness.
“May each of us locate our gifts. May each of us ask that question, how can I help? And may each of us find something deeper than hope where we can act on behalf of a beautiful broken world.”
~ Terry Tempest Williams
