“There is no power greater than a community discovering what it cares about.”
~Margaret Wheatley
Changemakers are individuals driven to make a positive impact on the world. Are you a change-maker in need of rest, renewal? Join Courage & Renewal facilitators Dawn Montgomery, Julie Johnson, and Kirstin Anglea along with fellow change-makers to disconnect from the demands and distractions of daily life to slow down, take stock of where you are, and harvest the wisdom you have received from this past year. It requires courage to drop everything and enter the “portal” rest provides, allowing time to nourish you, change you. Return to your communities with strength, courage, presence and compassion.
Inspired by the work of adrienne maree brown and Tricia Hersey, our group of 12-15 will explore what it means to “hold change” in large group, small group, and solitary settings. As a retreat, we move at the pace of invitation with plenty of time for solitude and reflection.
Poetry, music, art, movement and the beautiful forest, water and mountains that surround us will help us understand ourselves in a deeper way. Together in this Circle of Trust® we will co-create a trustworthy space to honor who you are and how we can hold change with integrity and grace. A Clearness Committee will also be offered at this retreat. Click on the link to read more about it.
Guided by the principles and practices of the Center for Courage & Renewal®, this retreat will provide opportunities to:
• Discover a place of solitude in community where you can seek renewal and clarity of purpose.
• Reflect on who you are, and on the invitation to connect who you are with what you do.
• Learn healthy ways to embrace paradox and hold tension in life-giving ways.
• Be within a community of mutual respect and caring that welcomes the soul.
