We all need other people to invite, amplify, and help us listen to our inner teacher.
We all need trustworthy relationships — tenacious communities of support —

A Spirited Pause
(a pantoum* poem; one poem, two ways)
-i-
Call on goodness and grace,
make space for wonder.
Sit in stillness, one with awe,
take a spirited pause.
Make space for wonder.
In a stream of awareness,
refresh, take a spirited pause.
Renew with freshness and light.
Refresh in a stream of awareness,
Once an hour, on the inhale,
renew with freshness and light.
With an exhale, settle your soul.
Once an hour, on the inhale,
it’s always possible, now most critical,
with an exhale, settle your soul.
A spirited pause rebuilds the world.
