“This is the first, wildest and wisest thing I know, that the soul exists, and that it is built entirely out of attentiveness.” Mary Oliver
We live in a time and culture which discourage us from paying attention to the soul or true self, and when we fail to pay attention, we end up living soulless lives. We will explore how to nurture our souls in these challenging times. Nourishing the soul is vitally important to the health and balance of one’s life. When we take the time to intentionally nurture our souls we become renewed and refreshed.
This retreat is based on the work of Parker J. Palmer, author, speaker, and activist, who is the founder of the Center for Courage & Renewal and the Courage & Renewal® approach. Circle of Trust® retreats create space to focus on cultivating our inner capacity to live a more authentic and meaningful life. Within this approach we will reflect on the writings, visual arts, and music of creative women.
On the last day of the retreat, which is a full day, there will be an opportunity to particpate in a Clearness Committee, either as a listening committee member or a focus person. Clearness Committees will be explained more fully during the retreat.
