Pathways to Wholeness: A Circle of Trust Retreat

One of the greatest gifts we can offer to ourselves, our work, and our world is our own wholeness. If you long for harmony between your inner and outer worlds, strengthening your ability to show up fully and authentically in all aspects of life, this Circle of Trust retreat may be for you. The practices and touchstones in a Circle of Trust create a hospitable place for your soul to show up and discover new pathways to wholeness.

Our deepest calling is to grow into our own authentic self-hood, whether or not it conforms to some image of who we ought to be. As we do so, we will not only find the joy that every human being seeks–we will also find our path of authentic service in the world.” ~ Parker J. Palmer

In today’s fast-paced and demanding world, it can be challenging to stay grounded in who we are and who we are called to be in the world. Surrounded by conflict, frenzy, and divisions, we may check in with ourselves one day and find that our very soul has become damaged and divided. In these times, we may feel incongruence between our inner and outer worlds, discovering that the pathways between the two have become blocked and our life lacks the necessary flow for inner/outer harmony.

It doesn’t have to be this way. Join us for a Circle of Trust® retreat focused on wholeness, where you can spend time connecting with your inner teacher with the gracious support of community that welcomes your soul, while also providing that support for others. In order to create this welcoming and healing space, we lean in to the Practices of the Courage & Renewal Approach®

  • Creating spaces that are open and hospitable, but resource-rich and charged with expectancy
  • Committing to no fixing, advising, “saving” or correcting one another
  • Asking honest, open questions to “hear each other into speech”
  • Exploring the intersection of the universal stories of human experience with the personal stories of our lives
  • Using multiple modes of reflection so everyone can find his or her place and pace
  • Honoring confidentiality

Guided by the Courage & Renewal® approach, we create a sacred, confidential space in which to do our own inner work in solitude and community. This retreat will include Clearness Committees, a powerful two-hour discernment process from the Quaker tradition, where one person who wishes to think more deeply about an issue has an opportunity to be the “focus person” while a “committee” of four to six others listen and ask open, honest questions. Both focus person and committee members share a profound experience in this unique way of supporting another human being together in community.
