Tending to Those Who Tend to Others: A Circle of Trust Retreat for Women of Color in Religious Leadership (Onsite)

Now more than ever, women of color clergy need a place to rest, replenish, and be witnessed and supported in trustworthy circles of care. Women of color serving as spiritual leaders carry a heavy load in providing pastoral care for your faith communities while also being personally impacted by systemic racism and sexism, especially in the current political climate. This 4-retreat series offers rest and respite for tending to your own soul in community with others.

As women who embody various aspects of faith and spirituality, we are called to tend to everyone in our inner and outer circles. The question is, “Who is tending to us?  Who is tending to our souls?“

Please join us for a series of four retreats in which you are allowed to press “pause.”  This will be where you can replenish, refresh, and renew yourself.  We hope this offering will be a retreat where you can tend to your spirit.

Join us to:

  • Find ways to go deeper into yourself
  • Unlock the hope for your soul in this ever-evolving world landscape
  • Find peace and joy in the community of others
  • Reconnect your soul vs your role in life

As your facilitators we will guide you on this journey. We will do so by providing thoughtful activities, ways for you to interact with others while providing times for silence and rest.

This is the fourth and final retreat in a series. This retreat will be on site at the Villa Maria del Mar Retreat Center located in Santa Cruz, CA right on the beach.

October 28-30, 2025

The retreat will begin in the afternoon on 10/28 and end with lunch on 10/30.

Suggested amount $1160 – we are open to you paying whatever is within your capacity, and feels like a gift for you and for us.
