Souls on Deck Application

Apply for the Facilitator Gathering “Souls on Deck: The Power of Community”

Retreat Dates: July 21-23, 2023
Retreat Location: Villa Maria Del Mar (Santa Cruz, CA)
Local Airport: San Jose, CA

Join us for a gathering of CCR facilitators from diverse faith communities and cultures leading programs in the spirituality/religion sector in a variety of capacities.  Our time together will focus on creative community building, activating an ongoing community of practice, best practice sharing, idea generation and exploring important questions in our Circle of Trust work with regard to spiritual and religious communities and leaders.

This gathering is part of a longer commitment in which participants will also be expected to participate in an ongoing community of practice through Spring 2024. Our expectation is that the community of practice commitment will include a monthly small group of 2-2.5 hours and a seasonal gathering of half a day.

We expect to gather up to 25 facilitators on an application basis. Should we be unable to accept all applicants, a waiting list will be maintained. One of our highest priorities is to create as diverse a group of CCR facilitators as possible. Because the event is funded through a Flourishing in Ministry sustainability grant from the Lilly Endowment – the cost of the retreat will be waived. Participants will be only responsible for their travel for the event and a $100 non-refundable registration fee. However, there are funds to support travel costs for those who need it. Information on how to request travel support will be included with notice of acceptance.

You can submit your application below. Applications are due April 1, 2023. Applications received after April 1 will be handled as space allows. You should hear back from the program leadership team in regards to your application no later than April 15, 2023.
