Doing inner work in the supportive community of other black women makes connecting with our self-love more possible. And it makes this hard and important work enjoyable.

“If you’re like me, you recognize that we are living in incredibly challenging times. And you’re aware that black women continue to experience some of the greatest challenges in our world. However, it is clear to me that wonderful things are also happening, and great things are possible for me, for us. We have power that we may not often recognize. We black women can help change the world by changing how we feel about ourselves.”
Remembering our own self-worth is one of the best things black women can do to navigate all that is going on in the world. But this requires work on our part — inner work. Doing inner work in the supportive community of other black women makes connecting with our self-love more possible. And it makes this hard and important work enjoyable. The bonus of our efforts is that, as we improve our own lived experiences, we help transform the world and improve the lived experiences of others.
In September 2020, we began offering Black Women’s Radical Self-Love (Mini) Retreats. These retreats were so transformative that we offered them again in 2021-2022, in 2022-2023, and in 2023-2024. You are warmly invited to participate in this transformative retreat series for 2024-2025. In these retreats, we’ll engage in powerful and enjoyable contemplative practices and processes with a loving and supportive group of black women, each doing their own inner work. We’ll conclude the series with a daylong retreat, from 10:30am to 5:30pm ET. The other retreats will be mini retreats, offered from noon to 2:30pm ET. All retreats will be held on the third Saturday, every other month. Here are the dates and themes for 2025:
January 18- What My Soul Wants For Me (mini)
March 15 — Aligning with the Universe through Gratitude (mini)
May 17 — The Wonder of My Body (mini)
July 19 — A New Story about Me as I Love Myself Radically (daylong)
Here are the links for the future retreats. The January registration link is in the box to the left.
