Leigh Heide (they/them) grew up on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada and graduated from Dalhousie University’s School of Social Work in 2011. For the last 20 years they have worked primarily in Nova Scotia in community-based organizations and provincial government health focusing on youth health education, youth social arts initiatives and community development, 2SLGBTQIA+ community work, and sexual and reproductive health. They previously served as the Executive Director of Sexual Health Nova Scotia and are currently on the Board of Directors of South Shore Sexual Health. After time spent in Ontario, Canada and the United Kingdom they returned to Nova Scotia and now live back on the South Shore with their partner, two dogs and 4 cats.

Leigh is currently an apprentice in the Center for Courage & Renewal Facilitator Preparation program.
