This retreat will offer a space to focus on the theme of life in gendered bodies and the way our own questions and judgements, along with the perception of others, can affect the way we see our bodies. Often our experience of gender plays a large part in our relationship to our bodies, and expectations from society, culture, relationships, and our own inner wisdom about our genders can impact us greatly. This retreat will give us dedicated time to explore questions we might be holding about our own relationship to our bodies, our gender, and our true selves, held by the Courage & Renewal® principles and practices.
Circle of Trust® retreats offer participants an immersive experience in the Courage & Renewal approach, which is premised on the idea that every person has access to an inner source of truth, named in various wisdom traditions as identity, true self, heart, spirit, or soul. This inner teacher is a source of guidance and strength that helps us find our way through life’s complexities and challenges. Gatherings informed by the Courage & Renewal principles and practices give people a chance to listen to this source, learn from it, and discover its imperatives for their work and their lives. In this retreat we will co-create a trustworthy space to do our own inner work in community with others. Poems, stories, songs, artworks, somatic activities—all drawn from diverse cultures and wisdom traditions—will offer opportunities to contemplate, reflect upon, and share insights regarding authentic relationships with communities, nature, and ourselves. The retreat will also include a full clearness committee.
