ElderSoul is a call to mature adults who are walking a life-long soulful process. For those who long to know and take their place in Earth community in the company of seekers who together desire a true and deepening elderhood. We offer a communal journey of re-membering and weaving together all the multi-layered aspects of our psychospiritual, embodied lives – our healing and our wholeness. An intensive retreat event like this, in-person for three nights and four days, becomes an experiential portal offering a creative integration – a personal and collective experience – naming, nurturing, and risking deeper ways of living in inter-connection with nature as authentic Earth adults in right relationship with all beings
Are you on a life-long quest to grow into your true eldership?
The word ‘Elder’ has held countless profound meanings for global cultures, religious traditions, and local communities throughout the ages.
What are the gifts, challenges, and opportunities of this phase of life?
What does it mean to make the passage into elderhood?
What longings for this last season of life haunt me as I seek for something more?
How am I in relationship with this Earth and how has my lifelong soulful journey been calling me?
If you are asking these questions – join us for three nights and four days! Your guides will be Carol Kortsch, a Courage & Renewal trained facilitator, and Gene Dilworth of Wild Heart Center for Nature & Psyche and a lead guide at Animas Valley Institute, weaving together a collaborative circle.
This is an original nature-based retreat drawing upon the work of Parker J Palmer and the Circle of Trust® approach with the work of Bill Plotkin and Animas Valley Institute. Nothing rugged or physically demanding will be expected of you, but for those who enjoy wilderness, replete with meadows, pine-forest, and a stream – all these await your active presence. We will come together in large and small groups, and as much solitary time as possible will be spent outdoors to re-imagine our unique essence in relationship with the wild bounty of the Rocky Mountains, the backbone of this continent.
We together will co-create a trustworthy circle in which we can listen beyond human conversation to the dream of Earth, learn from our Ancestors who still speak, and from our own personal and communal deep wisdom.
