Reclaim Your Power In Baja California, Mexico

Explore the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that hold us back while also identifying new choices and practices that move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living.

Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.
This awe-inspiring retreat, meant to set your soul on fire, will use the stunning vistas and natural energy of ocean and sunshine to rejuvenate and revitalize your mind, body, and spirit like no other experience.

Explore the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that hold us back while also identifying new choices and practices that move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. Daily sessions are interactive, fun, and insightful. We will use our time together to create the needed space for pause and stillness to reunite mind, body, and spirit. Each morning begins with educational sessions and a hearty breakfast, followed by daily activities in the scenic beauty of Baja California, Mexico. Accompanied by friendly and knowledgeable guides, our days are filled with a soulful blend of scenic hiking, ocean experiences, educational insights, and fabulous food. There is ample opportunity for personal reflection, self-care, and time to enjoy the healing opportunities that this beachfront retreat offers.

Each evening, we have the opportunity to meet for social hour, daily debriefing, and rejuvenation of your mind, soul, and trekking legs before enjoying lovely dinners. During this adventure, expert facilitators provide daily sessions inspired by the Center for Courage & Renewal, Brené Brown’s The Daring Way™ programs, as well as research from other thought leaders on spiritual and emotional wellbeing.

During this retreat, you will have the opportunity to explore your inner wisdom in a Clearness Triad. Each participant will learn the skills necessary to create the triad container and support the other triad members as you all explore your inner wisdom around a particular question or wondering each participant is holding. The Clearness Triad is a technique developed by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal that allows each retreatant to serve both as Clearness Focus Person and a Clearness Committee member.

You can fly directly into La Paz or can choose to fly to Cabo San Lucas and rent a car or take a shuttle for the 2-hour trip to La Paz.

Following this in-person La Paz retreat, we will offer four additional retreat-style online sessions over six months (worth an additional 6 CME/CEUs). During these post-retreat online sessions, expert facilitators will use a small cohort model to help participants continue to explore and incorporate the intentions they set while in person in La Paz. The cost for the additional meetings is $500.

If you have additional questions about this trip, please contact Corey Martin at Corey@BounceTravels.com.

Day 1 – Arrive in La Paz, MX
La Paz, founded in 1535 by the Spanish Explorer, Hernando Cortez, will be our home for the next week. La Paz is well known for its sea life. So much that it lured Jacques Cousteau to arrive here yearly to watch the whale migrations. La Paz, literally translated to “The Peace,” seems a fitting place for this retreat focused on reclaiming your power through radiance and relaxation. As you arrive here the day before our formal retreat starts, you can take in local arts and culture, explore the outdoors, indulge in a unique dining scene, or just sit by the pool and relax. Plan to arrive anytime this day. The retreat will begin at 7am the next morning. We recommend you fly directly into La Paz but flying into Cabo San Lucas and renting a car or taking a shuttle to La Paz is also a reasonable option.

Tonight we are staying at the Hyatt Place.

Day 2
Morning educational sessions are a deep dive into hope, gratitude, and purpose. Today we hike the Cerro de la Calavera trail. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, the Cerro de la Calavera got its spooky name from its unusual rock formations and arches along this hike. As you get to the crest of the hill, you will have beautiful views of La Paz and the Gulf of California. 3.8 miles/ 780 ft elevation

Tonight we are staying at the Hyatt Place. Breakfast included.

Day 3
Today we will experience a hike along the Malecon and continue along the Marina Palmira – Playa La Concha. These are popular trails for birding, fishing and hiking. But you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day. We will also be offering Daily Nature Therapy opportunities with our guides. After hiking, we will return to the hotel for reflection time and optional massage or reiki sessions. 5.7 miles/305 ft elevation

Tonight we are staying at the Hyatt Place. Breakfast included.

Day 4
Today we will travel to the desert island paradise, Isla Espíritu Santo, often called the Jewel of the Sea of Cortez. This island is small and rocky, with over a dozen white sand beaches surrounded by water so clear you can see the colorful fish from above the surface. The island’s name means “Holy Spirit,” which seems fitting for a place that leaves you feeling cleansed and renewed by its magical mix of solitude, sun, sand, and saltwater. You will have time to swim and enjoy the pristine beaches.

Tonight we are staying at the Hyatt Place. Breakfast included.

Day 5
The Sendero Magdalena Trail is a loop trail near La Paz with breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez and hiking through Saguaro Cacti. Today also holds an extra special nature therapy opportunity with our guide. 9.3 miles/1246ft elevation

Tonight we are staying at the Hyatt Place. Breakfast included.

Day 6
Discover the Cerro Atravesado Trail, an easy 3.2-mile out-and-back trail near La Paz. This trail is great for hiking and trail running. After your time hiking this trail, you will have free time to take in local arts and culture, rent a stand-up paddleboard, go kayaking or maybe just sit on the beach and relax. 3.2 miles/777ft elevation

Tonight we are staying at the Hyatt Place. Breakfast included.

Day 7
Our retreat will conclude by 11am. Some travelers may choose to fly home later in the day, while others may want to rent a car and spend more time checking out other parts of Baja California, such as the spring break hot spot of Cabo San Lucas. Breakfast included.

Please Note: This itinerary may change slightly due to accommodation availability, rain, festivals and spontaneous side trips. This is not an endurance race, nor a competition. Please be respectful of all the different paces and walks of life that come together on this group trip
