Awakening to the Space Between

What if the real transformation you need is not in the realm of improved time management? What if... it isn’t doing more, digesting more, collecting more data, but awakening to the quiet “in-between” places you usually rush past? Let the heart & soul of Nashville, Tennessee, welcome you into this 3-day retreat, offering connection & the space to receive, slowing one’s breath and awakening to a shift in presence & energy.

In a small group setting, nestled amidst the urban pulse of the community, you will have the opportunity to embrace a full Circle of Trust ®  retreat. Beginning on a Thursday afternoon and ending on Saturday midday, you may choose to continue your journey, exploring the rich & eclectic Nashville culture.  Consider joining us as we partner in experiencing the skyline of life’s fullness via a penthouse view of downtown Nashville, the vibrant Music City.

Over 3 spacious days, we’ll explore four dimensions of “the space between”:

  • Inner Space:  The pause between thoughts and breath, where your nervous system can exhale, and your wisdom has room to speak.
  • Relational Space:  The space between people, like deep listening, being truly heard, and learning to stay present (compassionate awareness) so that your thinking serves the situation you are in and not your ego, anxieties, and fears.
  • Communal Space:  The shared field, called a Circle of Trust ®, where poetry, art, self-reflection, and silence hold us together without the pressure to perform.
  • Liminal Space:  The transitions and thresholds we are experiencing become clearer, recognizing that it is possible to stand with courage and hope in the messy in-between.

This Circle of Trust® is grounded in the work of Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal.® You can expect guided reflection that promotes tapping into your inner teacher and simple practices to slow your pace that you can take home with you for further exploration. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to slow down and notice what lives in the space between. Attendance is limited to 14 participants.
