Our time together will offer a gentle rhythm of reflection, shared silence, and honest speech. You are welcome as you are. No fixing, no saving, no advising—only the invitation to show up, listen, and be present to what is true within you. We extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to BIPOC, queer, and all those whose identities and experiences have not always been fully welcomed or honored in contemplative and community spaces.
Inspired by the spirit of Sankofa, we will look back with reverence, drawing on the teachings and resilience of those who came before us, as we begin to imagine what is ours to carry forward. Through brief excerpts from selected texts, personal reflection, and communal inquiry, we will explore what it means to live into our sacred gifts at this moment.
Texts that will gently support our time:
– When No Thing Works by Norma Wong
– In the Absence of the Ordinary by Francis Weller
– Active Hope by Joanna Macy
(No prior reading required.)
This is a Series Journey. Together, these offerings form a three-part series entitled Active Hope in Unordinary Times.
You are welcome to participate in all, some, or any one of these three gatherings. Each experience stands on its own, while also weaving together as part of a larger journey.
