Finding beauty in a broken world is creating beauty in the world we find.
~Terry Tempest Williams
It’s autumn, the leaves are changing, the ripe fruit is being harvested, and the world is uncertain. Our hearts are aching and in need of deep care. Are you in need of rest and renewal?
Join Courage & Renewal facilitators Kirstin Anglea, Julie Scheer Johnson, and Dawn Montgomery to step away from the pace and distractions of daily life to take stock of where we are and attend to our inner teacher and to one another.Â
What to Expect: Inspired by the work of John O’Donohue (Beauty: The Invisible Embrace) and Terry Tempest Williams (Finding Beauty In A Broken World), we will explore what it means to practice beauty in this time of grief and struggle. As a Circle of Trust® retreat, we will engage in small group and individual activities, with plenty of time for solitude and reflection. Poetry, music, art, movement and the beautiful forest, water and mountains that surround us will invite us to understand where we are standing now, and help us find hope in the beauty of our world. This is an invitation to co-create a trustworthy space to honor who we are and what we need in order to thrive in challenging times with integrity and grace. A Clearness Committee will also be offered at this retreat. Â
Guided by the principles and practices of the Center for Courage & Renewal®, this Circle of TrustⓇ retreat will provide opportunities to:
- Discover a place of solitude in community where you can seek renewal and clarity of purpose.
- Reflect on who you are, and on the invitation to connect who you are with what you do.
- Learn healthy ways to embrace paradox and hold tension in life-giving ways.
- Enter a trustworthy space for inner work in community
- Practice deep listening – strengthening one’s life beyond the retreat
- Be within a community of mutual respect and caring that welcomes the soul.
