Rooted and Rising: A Journey to Grounding and Growth on the Ghost River

Do you feel pulled in a million directions? Constantly distracted by technology and the pace of life? Are you in the midst of a life transition and need to find direction and clarity? This is your invitation to pause and breathe. Join us to reconnect to the deeper life within you and reclaim your peace. The Rooted and Rising retreat is a transformative invitation: designed to renew your connection to Spirit and to your authentic story.

Nestled in the serene beauty of the Rocky Mountains and the loving support of friends, these days together combine practices that unearth inner wisdom and guidance. Through poetry, supportive sharing circles, and a disciplined set of agreements, we will explore rooting practices, healing the inner landscape of our lives, and re-vision your passions to set creative intentions for the future.

Come home to yourself, grounded in your reality, and ready to rise.

The retreat is guided by Dan Hines, mentored by the Quaker activist Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal. Dan has facilitated life-giving experiences for thousands of participants, in the lineage of The Courage & Renewal Approach. In these wise spaces, there is a trustworthy, brave space of attention, imagination, and confidential conversations. To learn more about Dan, visit www.danhines.ca

During the retreat, you will experience Clearness Committees, a discernment process arising from the early Quakers. In this process a person who longs for insight – transitional, vocational, relational, or spiritual – has an opportunity to be the “focus person” while a prepared “committee” of others listens, records and asks open questions.

There will be ample time for solitude, rest by a roaring fire, heart home cooking, reflection, journal writing and also for explorations in the winter energy of the Ghost River Valley.

Nestled in the Rockies west of Calgary, Alberta Canada, Kings Fold offers a space for rest, renewal and reflection. Contact us for more information.
