This 2.5 day commuter retreat is for individuals who want to gift themselves a sacred pause amidst the fullness of life to explore ways to intentionally embody “a pace of grace”. You might also consider gifting this retreat to another who you sense may be in need of this kind of experience. We will do this through reflective practices, such as poetry, dialogue, silence, and deep listening. We will seek out the “backroads” together: new ways of seeing and understanding ourselves and others that lead us exactly where we need to go.
This retreat is designed to be a trustworthy space to:
- Learn principles and practices that can be applied to our daily lives and work to help us stay true to who we are
- Deeply listen to ourselves and to another, for the voice of clarity &/or direction
- Companion one another with curiosity, nonjudgmental acceptance, and compassion
- Embrace paradoxes as we contemplate a “both/and” perspective
- Discover our own unique “backroads” and ways of knowing
Co-facilitated by Meaghan Mundy and Dane Anthony. We hope to see you in the new year as we lean in with grace, compassion, and wonder!
In our fast-paced and complex world, this retreat space will be centered on grace, compassion, and kindness – for ourselves and for others. We invite you to embody the fullness of who you are in this moment in time and affirm your own unique rhythms and direction as the new year gets underway.
In solitude and in community with each other, we will claim time for renewal and connectedness. Principles and practices of the Courage & Renewal® approach will shape and guide our time together. The wisdom offered through writing, music, and movement provide a foundation for gentle engagement, dialogue, and reflection. Some activities include shared silence, reflective writing, talking/listening in small groups, and sharing and being together in the full circle. We will also spend time outside in nature (weather permitting!) – sitting, walking, talking, and reflecting, as we intentionally slow down to embody “a pace of grace” and deeply listen.
- This retreat will also offer a time of focused discernment for 1-2 participants who would like to explore a distinct question or challenge they are navigating through a Clearness Committee. A unique aspect of Circles of Trust, this space will provide an individual the opportunity to be a focus person and share an issue of importance to their lives while others in the circle provide open, honest questions that facilitate reflection and deep listening.
