Going Forward: Listening to the Sound of the Genuine
The Great Turning – Sacred Soul Work and the Inner Teacher & Finding Community
As we continue this shared journey, we return to questions that matter deeply in these unordinary
times:
What is being asked of us now?
What wisdom is already within us?
And how might we meet this moment with greater honesty, tenderness, courage, and hope?
In this next gathering, we will explore what it means to listen for the sound of the genuine—to
the quiet wisdom within that can help us discern what is ours to carry, what is ours to release, and
how we might move forward.
We will also turn our attention toward community. In uncertain and challenging times, we need
one another. How do we find and nurture communities that sustain us, deepen our sense of
belonging, and help us remain grounded and present for the road ahead?
Together, we will create a gentle space for reflection, shared silence, honest conversation, and
deep listening. Drawing from Joanna Macy’s Active Hope and other wisdom traditions, we will
explore the inner work that strengthens our capacity to remain engaged with the world without
losing our connection to ourselves, one another, and what gives our lives meaning.
You are welcome whether you joined us for Part 1 or are coming for the first time. Each offering
stands on its own while remaining connected by a common thread woven throughout this three-
part series. No prior reading or preparation is needed. Simply come as you are.
We warmly welcome BIPOC, queer, and all those whose identities and experiences have not
always been fully welcomed or honored in contemplative and community spaces.
