The Courage Way®: Wisdom for living, working and leading with integrity

What would you do with more courage? Inspired by "The Courage Way" by Shelly Francis and the Courage & Renewal® approach, this online Circle of Trust® retreat invites you to pause, reflect, and explore what it means to live, work, and lead with courage.

“Courage is what happens when you bring inspiration and integrity to your decisions to take actions.
Courage is the life force that animates you in moments of decision and action.
In your moments of courage, you meet your true self
.”

~Shelly Francis, The Courage Way

Do you wish you had more courage ?

What would you do with more courage ?

What would that look like in your life, work and leadership?

Inspired by The Courage Way by Shelly Francis, and the Courage & Renewal® approach to reflective practice developed by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal, this online Circle of Trust® retreat is an invitation to explore five key elements that support courageous living and leading:

True Self –   that source of inner wisdom, also known as our inner teacher, which helps us navigate life’s complexities.

Trust –  that creates the conditions for self and others to grow in integrity and flourish.

Community – that supports the growth of self awareness as we interact with trustworthy peers.

Paradox – that opens us up to new possibilities by holding ‘both-ands’ rather than ‘either-ors’, and

Reflection – that helps us find our own firm inner ground as well as the common ground we share with others.

Unfolding over 2.5 days and led by skilled facilitators, we will co-create a trustworthy community grounded in the Circle of Trust® Touchstones.  Prompted by evocative texts, images, poetry, music, and insights from the natural world, there will be time for individual reflection and journaling along with small and large-group dialogues, in which experiences from our own lives, work and leadership can be shared.  Through such processes, this retreat will offer the rare opportunity to pause, slow down and:

  • Attune to our inner wisdom.
  • Renew our commitment to core values that bring meaning and integrity to our lives and work.
  • Expand our capacity to be present to others through practices of deep listening and asking open and honest questions.
  • Discover a process for discernment to gain clarity around life, work and leadership questions through Clearness Committees.
  • Continue to grow our courage.
